Knights battle out hard fought draw against the Bulldogs
The 11th-placed Knights have nearly pulled off a huge upset against the second-placed Bulldogs after a thrilling 26-all draw.
It looked to be a rather one-sided affair after the Bulldogs shot out to a 16-0 lead after 16 minutes.
Bayley Cox, Diego Bravo-Graham and Brendon Tapuai all crossed for four pointers and the Dogs were playing with plenty of confidence.
Not to be outdone, the Knights hit back through Logan Radzievic and Montell Kuru and they soon found themselves within striking distance down 16-12 at halftime.
The two sides traded blows back and forth as the Dogs opened the scoring in the second half through Turoa Williams.
From there, the Knights played with plenty of confidence and scored 14 unanswered points.
The Bulldogs proved why they are one of the competition’s heavyweights when prop Charlie Lennon went over in the 69th minute. Khaled Rajab proved he has ice in his veins after nailing the conversion and delivering his side a 26-26 draw.

Eels dominate Central Coast Roosters at McCredie Park
Parramatta Eels have pulled off a dominant 28-4 win over the Sydney Roosters on Easter Saturday, keeping themselves in second position on the ladder.
Despite the fact they ran in six tries, it was their steely defence that was the most impressive. The Eels remain the best defensive side in the competition, equal with the ladder-leading Sea Eagles, with both sides only conceding 82 points all season.
Tries to Suliasi Aho, Blaize Talagi and Tyrese Lokeni shot the Eels out to a 14-0 lead at the break.
The boys in blue and gold opened their second half account the same way they finished the first, after halfback Ethan Sanders crossed for a four pointer.
Following plenty of back and forth action, the Roosters hit back in the 40th minute through Mason Stottelaar.
From there, it was all the Eels as they stamped their authority in the match with another two tries to secure a 28-4 win.

Rabbitohs win thriller with last minute field goal
South Sydney Rabbitohs have secured their second win of the season with a last minute field goal to give them a 25-24 win against Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Good Friday.
It was a fast start for the Bulldogs after winger Laitia Moceidreke crossed the line in the third minute.
South Sydney hit back soon after with Cameron Akauola Laula scoring his first try of the 2021 season.
From there, the Bulldogs looked like they would run away with the game after scoring 16 unanswered points, but it was the Rabbitohs who would have the last laugh.
Boasting attacking weapons all across the park, South Sydney scored through Lachlan Ilias, Peter Mamouzelos and Joshua Fepuleai but it was the boot of their halfback that kept them in the game.
After kicking four from four conversions, Ilias stepped up in the 69th minute to slot a clutch field goal and secure a heart-stopping 25-24 victory for the Rabbitohs.

Knights lose first game of 2021 in huge upset against the Dogs
The Newcastle Knights have suffered their first loss of 2021 after going down 22-18 against the Bulldogs at Maitland Sports Ground on Easter Saturday.
Plenty expected the first-placed Knights to put the 11th-placed Canterbury-Bankstown to the sword but the Dogs showed plenty of fight.
It was a horror start for the Dogs after Knights prop Janaya Trapman got her side on the board in the 2nd minute.
The Bulldogs hit back soon after through backrower Indee Brown and it was a see-sawing affair from then on.
The competition leaders ran in two more tries in the 10th and 31st minute but it was the Bulldogs who were the better side on the day.
Tries to Angelina Teakaraanga Katoa, Leilani Wilson and a second to Indee Brown stretched the Dogs lead out to 22-18 at fulltime, pulling off the biggest upset of 2021.
