A NRLW referee hopes her inside knowledge of the game can help the NSW CHS girls team become the inaugural champions.
Catch them LIVE in the first of three Saturday games at 1.45pm.
Three NSW teams will be out to be the inaugural Australian Secondary Schools Rugby League (ASSRL) girls champions.
And team manager Karra-Lee Nolan is confident it will be the CHS side that prevails, despite the logistics and problems of getting the team together before the tournament.
Nolan, who is NRLW referee, hopes her inside knowledge of the game can help build the team into champions.
All the action from the inaugural girls championship will be available to watch LIVE and exclusive on KommunityTV, with the NSW CHS side to open their campaign against the ACT at 1:45pm (AEST) on what will be a busy Saturday.
They then play Victoria at 3.50pm and finish off against NSW Combined Catholic Colleges (CCC) at 5.30pm.

With players from Illawarra, Central Coast, Newcastle and western Sydney, selecting and bringing in girls from across the state for the competition has been a challenge, but Nolan said it’s looking promising.
“I think bringing the girls together and trying to combine as a unit, where we’re strong on and off the field, has been good,” Nolan said.
“We just told the girls that they need to be keeping fit, stay injury free and keep working on the things that we taught them.”
Nolan’s unique perspective of the game has also helped in the team’s development, and she said their understanding of the game has grown.
“Obviously as a referee, you see a fair bit of the game in terms of the rucks, the ruck speed, tackle technique, plays and things like that,” she said.
“There’s obviously things I pick up on in their games that I can help them refine and help the team get the best outcome.
Nolan has been getting the girls ready.
“There are little idiosyncrasies, little tips and refinements like on ruck positioning and when the referee picks up certain things and why.
“Most players try to learn the rules, but they don’t necessarily understand the why.
“But getting them to understand what (the referees) are looking out for and why it’s crucial for game appreciation and awareness for them to be able to upskill.”
Nolan believes her side has a real chance to go all the way at Redcliffe over the next seven days.
“They’ve got to trust each other and have each other’s backs, and just do their best,” Nolan said.
“Hopefully in a couple of days we’ll be standing up there for the final and the rest is up to them.”
