It may not have been overly pretty, but the Tarsha Gale Sharks will gladly take the two competition points, bouncing back from a last start loss in registering a narrow 14-12 win over the Indigenous Academy side.

Skipper Tegan Dymock put the Sharks on top early, however an Academy try a minute before the break sent the teams to half time at 6-all.

Two Sharks four-pointers, to Taylah Vella and then Chloe Boston put them out to an eight-point advantage, before an Academy try five minutes from time made for an interesting finish.

In cold and greasy conditions the Sharks girls managed to hang on, the win seeing them jump the Indigenous side on the Tarsha Gale ladder in putting them on track for a finals berth.

The Sharks play the Canberra Raiders at home next Saturday in a round seven match

Sharks 14
