A Quartet of the Panthers Juniors brightest talents are set to their first taste of a grueling NRL pre-season in Penrith
Panthers Juniors and Pathways would like to congratulate local Juniors Connor Mason, Jesse Mclean, Harry Hassett, and Ryley Smith.
Have put pen to paper to been included in the NRL squads pre-season training for the upcoming NRL 2023 season under head coach Ivan Cleary.
Pre-season training began on Wednesday morning with Panthers staff conducting baseline testing on the team as new faces were welcomed and the preparation for the title defence and a tilt at a three-peat began.
Not all of the squad was back in training, with our world cup participants and more veteran players gaining a well deserved break after a hugely compacted 2022 schedule.
To be given an opportunity to train at NRL level is nothing short of reward due to the effort our 4 local juniors over an extended period of their teenage years in our Panthers Pathways system.
Their journeys to this point in their careers epitomises what we are about at Panthers and the development focus that is taken.
It wasn’t a matter of ‘if’, for these young men more so, ‘when’ they would get their opportunity.
Once again we congratulate Connor, Jesse, harry and Ryley on their well earned call up and here’s to the promising careers ahead for all four within the Penrith Panthers.
