Sharks Winter Academy applications now open
In following on from a successful junior representative season, where the Matthews Cup team qualified for the Grand Final, the Sharks are inviting interested players to trial to be a part of the Sharks Winter Academy program.
A program only open to players registered and playing with local Cronulla-Sutherland District junior league clubs, the Sharks Winter Academy will involve squads in the under 14’s, 15’s, 16’s and 18’s age groups.
In continuing to identify and develop local talent, the Sharks Winter Academy is integral to the success of the club’s junior representative program for both the 2023 season and beyond.
The trials will be conducted at the Sharks Academy Field at Cronulla High School, with dates and times detailed below.
Players will be informed if they have been accepted to trial and if so are to come ready to train, Should strapping be needed it should be done prior to arrival or before the commencement of the training session.
Players will be required to bring boots, mouthguards, suitable training attire, drink bottle and waiver form (link below and also available at trial venue).
Waiver forms will also be available at the trial however it is encouraged that the form is brought to the session signed and filled out.

Applications close Friday, June 3, with Winter Academy training sessions to commence on Monday, June 20.
More training details will be provided to the successful trialists.
Dates and times following (subject to change):
U14s – Wednesday 8th June – Sharks Academy Fields (Cronulla HS) – Arrive at 4:15pm
U15s – Wednesday 8th June – Sharks Academy Fields (Cronulla HS) – Arrive at 5:15pm
U16s – Wednesday 8th June – Sharks Academy Fields (Cronulla HS) – Arrive at 6:15pm
U18s – Wednesday 8th June – Sharks Academy Fields (Cronulla HS) – Arrive at 7:15pm
