Bank Mal Meninga Cup semi final teams locked in

The teams to take part in next Saturday’s Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup semi finals have been confirmed.

Souths Logan Magpies did not lose a game in the regular season and finished at the top of the southeast Queensland-based Pool C and will face off again pool runners up Norths Devils for a place in the grand final.

Semi Final – Saturday 23rd April

Pool A winners Townsville Blackhawks also did not lose a match in the lead up to next Saturday’s finals and will face off against Sunshine Coast Falcons, who just pipped Ipswich Jets to top Pool B.

Both matches will be played at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

If you can’t get to the stadium, you can catch both games via QPlus.tv.

The grand final will be played on Sunday, May 1.

Blackhawks aim to take winning momentum into finals

It’s the final regular season round of the Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup and spots in the finals series of this year are still in play.

The finals structure for this year will see the winners of Pool A and Pool B and the top two teams in Pool C competing in a finals series.

While Townsville Blackhawks comfortably lead Pool A, there a number of contenders in the mix to top Pool B, with Sunshine Coast Falcons and Western Clydesdales the frontrunners.
