Mulholland’s proud past lives into future with schools cup honour
THE NRL will honour the life and passion of long-time NRL scout and talent manager Peter Mulholland in a refreshed NRL Schoolboys Cup.
The southern conference of the national competition, which includes NSW, ACT and Victoria, will be renamed the Peter Mulholland Cup.
It pays tribute to the legacy of the former St Gregory’s College teacher who became one of the premier talent scouts in the game and had a proud affinity with the competition.
For the third straight year, News Corp will live stream the action of the competition, which begins on May 31.

News Sport Network managing director Michael Wilkins said News Corp had experienced a successful start to the live streaming through the preseason Victorian qualifiers series which kicked off a fortnight ago.
