Last Saturday night the 2022 NSWCIS Sports Awards were held at Abbotsleigh College, Wahroonga.

Our 2022 CIS 15s Team were named Secondary Team of the Year on the night – a magnificent achievement after winning the 2022 Australian Secondary Schools Rugby League 15 Years National Championships.

Former CIS Player & Australian Schoolboy & retired Parramatta Eels player Tim Mannah was the guest speaker at the awards night.

Tim provided some great stories as well as advice to all the award recipients on the night and helped present the Team of the Year Pennants.

Also on the night, the following individual awards were presented for CIS Rugby League

Ruby Anderson – Central Coast Sports College – CIS Blue for her efforts in the first ever CIS Girls Team at the 2022 NSW Championships

Jesse McLean

Jesse McLean Newington College

Newington College – CIS Blue with Honours for his magnificent efforts representing the Australian Schoolboys on their first ever tour of Fiji in late 2022. Jesse was unable to make it on the night.

Waiaria Ellis

William Clarke College – was also to have received a Blue for the 16s Girls but was off at State Touch.

Bubba also was named Most Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year for her magnificent effort making the Australian Touch Team and also her representation with CIS Rugby League at the NSW Championships
