Hills SHS visit Tamworth

A very wet but successful afternoon in Tamworth for our U13s and U15s with both teams running out winners.

Very pleasing to see the standard of footy that our boys played with the limited amount of field time we have had due to the rain all term. The team was controlled by our halves in Sione Tuipolotu and Bronx Ratu-Pickering.

Plenty of go forward from Generous Saimani, Lennox Woodhouse, and Tyler Baker.

Monty Leatupea was aggressive all game and was putting on a show in defense for the home crowd.

Our bench provided impact and allowed the team to run away with a 68-10 victory.

The Hills SHS

TRIES : Aiden Osinga-Minter 3, Generous Saimani 2, Jharall Sione, Zai TeWhare, Emmanuel Higgins, Bronx Ratu-Pickering, Imad Lababidi, Tyler Baker, Lennox Woodhouse.
GOALS : Sione Tuipolotu 3, Emmanuel Higgins 3, Brady Hardy 2, Generous Saimani, Imad Lababidi

Farrer MAHS 10

EDIT – watching the video and Bronx scores 2, and Jordell scores 1 also. So the score was 80-10.

Man of the match – Generous Saimani (awarded by Farrer MAHS)

Man of the match – Montee Leatupea (awarded by HSHS staff)

After a very sloppy start from both teams. Multiple errors from both sides saw the start of the game lot much like a yawn fest.

Until Liam Bell took advantage of some lazy markers and split Farrer through the middle to cross under the posts.

That was enough to inspire the team and they fell into our structures and started to pile on the points.

Strong performance but our spine in Zaric Saban, Liam Bell, Tyler Birnie and Lincoln Fletcher.

Our middles lead the way with Lennox Hopoi playing big minutes, along with DJ Pricthard, Robert Upulasi and Jermayne Dickinson.

Special mention to Daryus Sione who played his first game back in a HSHS jersey since his knee injury.

On our edges, Cater Saua was his usual damaging self and created nightmares for his defending edge.

He was supported by Zach Seckold who had a great game and found himself with a try and a couple of line breaks.

The game ended at 46-0.

The Hills SHS

It was bucketing down at times so I didn’t have my phone on me while running the water/coaching.

However, the trip was more than worth it to see the sun set over the mountain range, while the rain rolled over the mountains at the same time.

The sky was pink and looks like a scene out of a Hollywood movie! To have the boys captured that one moment in the country was enough to make the whole trip worth it.

Every where we have gone thus far the 40 boys have been complimented on their uniform, their manners and their behavior.

The cleaners even mentioned this morning how beautiful the boys were to make their own beds!

(Hahaha not sure some boys realized that the sheets needed to be washed)

We should arrive back to HSHS 3pm. I will post updates in the comment section as we get closer. Thanks to all those parents who made the trip up to support the boys. It’s always greatly appreciated.
